Mida’s Golden Touch is Thunderkick’s game set on 5×3 grid with 15 pay lines. I must admit I like Thunderkick’s visuals and sounds, they really set up the atmosphere. For example, with 15 lines you never know if the symbol you get will be used in winning combination or not (because of not knowing if winning line passes through that spot), still here you hear a pleasant clicking sound when it falls into useful place. Enjoyed that.
Although Mida has been around for a while and there were some slots inspired by the legend already, this one seems fresh and offers some features that are not as common.
Features:
Mida’s hands symbol is wild. Nice thing being that with each new one used in a winning combination, it’s multiplier increases. So, one Wild doubles the combination value, two of them make it 4 times, three 8 times and so on up to 32 times. Check the example of that in this video.
To get to the bonus free spins, you need to collect at least 3 Golden Gate symbols. It doesn’t hurt to get 4 or 5, especially because then you get more free spins than the usual 10. More is better, right?
Bonus:
Bonus is interesting and not the usual one, even if it seems to be a hybrid between cascading reels and old type slots (where you kept some symbols after a first spin). So, to start with, you get one Wild symbol randomly placed on the screen before each free spin starts. Any winning combination stays in the position for a re-spin of other symbols. Reels keep spinning as long as you have added at least one new symbol to a winning combination. That all counts as a single spin and should you collect at least three Golden Door symbols during this re-spinning process, additional free spins are awarded. Obviously, this can lead up to some nice wins, especially if there are a few wilds locked in the middle and adding their multipliers to the winning combination.
Verdict:
Mida’s Golden Touch is original and great looking game. Although I am not a fan of games with only a few lines in play, 15 in this case, still it can get quite exciting.
For example, you can hit big just on the last spin in the bonus, like Jukka guy here in this video. And that is all it takes, one quality spin that can keep adding the symbols for a great win!
