Regular game:

Lil’ Devil is BTG effort based on a name of a cool song from the super cool 80’s band The Cult. Game graphics remind of the tattoo artworks and is certainly not a usual one. I’d say that is cool too. On top of that, title song Lil’ Devil playing in anticipation of bonus is probably the most exciting bonus expectation sound of them all.

Game is played on 6×4 grid, with all 4096 ways to win. Meaning there are no classic lines, but symbols count anywhere. So far so good.

Features:

Very much according to the theme, there are two types on wilds – Lil Devil and Big Angel. Lil’ Devil is a single space wild that can appear anywhere except on reel 1. Helps a bit, but not much. Much more help you get from Big Angels that are always covering middle reels 3 and 4 and are always taking those reels entirely. They come with random multipliers up to 12x and they do combine. So, if you are lucky, you can get 144x multiplier in the regular game with two maxed Angels in the middle. In the video above, I managed 64x multiplier for decent win. That’s about all what to hope for in the regular game, two Angels in the middle with high multiplier and if you are lucky enough, Lil Devils around them.

Bonus:

As usual, you need to collect 3 Scatters to get to the bonus round. When you hit two, The Cult song starts playing in anticipation of the third one. If you do not get the third one, you get to collect a single heart. Collecting 40 hearts will start an enhanced bonus round, which can help as in the video above.

You get to choose between two different types of bonuses – Be My Angel that starts with 7 spins and Dynamite Lover that starts with 12. Both are interesting.

Bonus:

In Be My Angel, one of the symbols becomes sticky wilds for the duration of the bonus. This is decided at the start and here you would need lesser value symbols simply because there are more of those. In the enhanced version, also top paying symbol becomes sticky wild. This can bring some nice wins. In Dynamite Lover type, wilds appear on reels 3 and 4 and increase their multiplier every time they appear in winning combination. System here changes to cascading reels, Gonzo style. In the enhanced version of it, you start with 5x multiplier rather than the usual 1x.

Verdict:

Lil’ Devil is very good looking, and sounding slot. Game is very volatile, so it has potential for huge wins. Mostly in bonus rounds, but also in the regular game with 144x potential multiplier. As a trade off, for most of the time, nothing will be happening and bonus rounds are very, very rare. I would say once in every 300 or 400 spins. So you can set your auto spin and get ready for some sustained losses until you eventually, maybe, hit big. For me, it did not strike the fine balance between the two extremes, like truly great games do.

Check out the massive win on this bonus round. That’s what I’m talking about, huge win on 0,80 bet.
