Gonzo’s Quest is cascading reels type of game with 5×3 grid. There are 20 lines in play and maximum payout is 1800 times the bet. It was released back in 2013 and has since become a classic. You can find Gonzo’s character everywhere. That’s the guy with the beard if you are wondering. Gonzo was the younger brother of Spanish adventurer Francisco Pizzaro, you know the story about him. Apparently, he was not as a nice guy as he seems in this game.
There is a good reason game has become classic. It is fast-paced, interesting, and fun to play. It also offers a chance for some good wins.
Features:
Symbols with Inca art drop into the grid. These are called avalanches in the game, rather than spins. Should you connect three or more symbols, the winning combination will disappear allowing for new symbols to drop. That’s Candy Crush style of play and is not as unusual. What makes it interesting is that every time you make a combination, the connected avalanche will pay with a higher multiplier. So, the next combination pays 2 times, then 3 and then 5 times. So you can connect for some nice wins, here is the top combination lined up on the first line, unfortunately on the first spin.
Bonus:
To get to the free spins, you need to collect three special “Free Fall” symbols as usual. You can collect more during the bonus which will add more free spins.
Bonus is exactly the same as the regular play, only the multipliers are higher. This time, they pay 3,6,9 and 15 the win should you manage to connect four or more. You are still hoping to connect a nice winning combination toward the end of avalanche when it pays the most.
Verdict:
Gonzo’s Quest is fast and you can get nice wins in the regular game as well as in the bonus. It is not surprising that this game has become a classic and it is still fun to play after quite of few years. Looks like Gonzo has managed to find the elixir of life and still stays fresh and interesting.
