Here is a good looking game from NetEnt. There are some cool things about it, but there are also some that could have been done better. For starters, there are only 9 lines in play here. That is not surprising, considering this is a sequel to wildly popular Dead or Alive that was launched back in 2009. I guess back in 2009, 9 lines were the golden standard. Apparently, the symbols are the famous outlaws such as Jesse James or Billy the Kid. Game sounds in old west style compliment the screen, just I was expecting some banjo background too.
The base game is pretty simple. No stacked symbols here so wins will not be as common. But, because of that, obviously, lining up the three symbols pays more than on the stacked symbols style of games.
Outlaws are all wilds. To get the bonus round, you need to collect the usual three Scatter symbols on any reel. Initially, you get awarded 12 spins to start with, but these can increase during the bonus. I found the bonus quite hard to get, it takes quite a few spins to get. That should mean that bonuses pay well, you can win up to 100,000 the bet.
What I liked is that you get to chose between three bonus types. And they are listed by the volatility. Should you go for many small wins, hoping to accumulate a lot, then go with Train Heist bonus. Each Wild symbol collected there adds to the multiplier and gets you an additional spin. Multipliers are used on the next spin.
If you wish to go for higher wins, then there is a High Noon Saloon bonus with locking wilds. The Old Saloon bonus is somewhere in the middle when it comes to volatility.
Beh. Although the game offers a few different bonus rounds, still I found it quite boring to play. Maybe because it takes a lot of 9 lines regular gameplay to get a bonus. And then there is not much in the regular game that can keep it exciting for an extended period of time.
In the bonus, you should definitely go for the locking wilds High Noon Saloon type. You can line up some nice wins there with the potential to fill up the screen with Wilds, like in this video.
