Regular game:

Here is the evergreen game that has been around forever and will probably be around even longer than that. Book of Ra seems like a copy of Indiana Jones, but then it became brand on its own. Everybody else is cloning it because it is so popular and rooted into the Casino industry, especially in Europe.

This version of the game comes with 6 reels (the original had 5), giving a bit more opportunity to win should you decide to play the extra wager to enable the sixth reel.

Features:

Game graphics, sounds, and music are relict from the 80s, you just have to love those sounds probably deeply rooted in everybody’s conscience. Reel speed is a bit slow, as what we would expect from the senior citizens.

There are no stacked symbols in the regular game. You need to get 3 (or more) books anywhere on the reels to start the bonus round. Sound of expectations of the third one after the second has landed must be the granddaddy of all exciting sounds. And it is still as good as ever.

Bonus:

The number of free spins during the bonus is 10, but this can be increased if you get any more 3 books combinations. The first feature is deciding as to which symbol will be wild and have the option of spreading to all three spaces on the reel where it lands. Obviously, you can get a full screen of the same symbol for a huuge win if you are lucky enough.

Verdict:

Good old classic game never disappoints. Although there are better-looking clones around, still Book of Ra has a lot of dedicated followers.

YouTube is full of clips of the wins in the bonus round, and this one here is the closest I’ve seen of getting the full screen of the top symbol. That would have paid 5000 times the bet.

The reaction of these guys says it all…
