40 Brilliants is a game published by CT Gaming. As the name says, it has 40 lines in play and it is set on 5×4 grid. Graphics are excellent and sounds are good. I particularly liked the whipping sound that starts the next spin after a win. Game pace is good and for the inpatient ones, spins can be shortened by pressing twice the spin button or space bar if you are playing on keyboard. Bet range is from a friendly 5 cents up to 4 Euro/USD per spin. Game offers medium high volatility, meaning you can go down relatively fast. But of course that works both ways, you can accumulate nice wins in short period of time as well.
Features:
Game features 8 precious stone symbols plus Scatter and Wild. All symbols are stacked so you can line up a full screen of each one for nice wins. Wilds are available on reels 2,3 and 4 only, but come out quite often contributing for nice wins. That also means that “5 of a kind” combinations do happen often and spice up the game. Fifth reels slows down when there is possibility for five of a kind and the sound game does then can easily raise your adrenaline when bells start ringing. Very good feature and quite addictive I must say!
Double up:
For any win under 10x the bet, game offers to double or quadruple the amount. This is signature CT Gaming feature and it is the best bet you can make in any Casino. Simply, there is no house advantage here and that is why you should double up (or go for quadrupling) as often as you can. Because there is no house advantage at all, doubling is allowed up to 50 times the original bet. However, you can half your win and try to double up only the other half, which is a great feature. I only wish doubling was a bit faster, maybe something like American Poker II from Novomatic would speed it up and make it even more exciting.

40 Brilliants is one of the best games published by CT Gaming. It is fast, good looking and has some features that are addictive and will make you play again and again. For example, halving your bet and then doubling the rest as in this video is excellent feature. Although it is not a typical fruit game, still features are quite similar, but more refined. It is not wonder that the game has very steady following in real life Casinos and it is certainly a good move from CT to have it adapted for online gaming.
