Playtech is truly one of industry’s pioneers, founded in Estonia in 1999 by Izraeli entrepreneur Teddy Sagi. It has grown since to be included in FTSE 250 Index after being listed on London Stock Exchange. In the process, Teddy Sagi has become one of the wealthiest persons in Izrael. This growth was not achieved on slot gaming software only, Playtech now offers solutions for online casinos, poker rooms, bingo, sports betting, scratch cards mobile gaming, live dealer games etc. They have even ventured into production of real life slots. Obviously, being this big has advantages. But also Playtech best known games are classics from the old days despite the vast library accumulated in the meantime. It seems that smaller studios adapt much faster than dinosaurs and that might be the reason that Playtech acquired a number of smaller studios to develop slot games. To name a few: Origins, Sunfox, Quickspin are all Playtech owned companies among others.  

Playtech is at the moment a top player at single stop solution for online gaming, although their slot games are not as innovative as they used to be in the past.
