Introduction:

This is the game by BTG from 2017 and it is based on Danger High Voltage song from band Electric Six. The song itself is a bit unusual and so is the game. It combines the image of Disco with hard rock riffs and tacos among others. Lil’ Devil is a successor game and it was obviously built on this game engine, concept and graphics. It looks nicely although I wish playfield was a bit bigger at the expens of the frame, but that could be said for most BTG slots.

Game is set on 6×4 grid with all 4096 combinations in play. Declared RTP is 95.67%.

Regular game:

There are two types of Wilds available and both land on reels 2-5 and cover the entire reel. First is called Wild Fire and that’s the usual wild, while Wild Electricity type comes with 6 times multiplier. So, you can combine nice wins if you line up a couple of those next to each other, otherwise do not expect much from the base game. To get into the bonus round you will need to, as usual, collect three Scatters in the form of My Desire symbol. When you get two, song kicks in with the “Fire in the Disco” refrain while you await for the third one. Cool!

There are two types of bonus available to choose from. One is called High Voltage and the other Gates from Hell.

Bonus:

High Voltage bonus starts with 15 free spins. Here you are hoping to land the High Voltage Wild and combine it with some nice symbol combinations. Just as in the regular game, Wilds appear only on reels 2-5 and cover the entire reel. But, multiplier on the High Voltage Wild ranges from 11 to 66 times. The way that multiplier increases with the buzzing electricity sound is exciting and that is nicely done.

On the other hand, Gates from Hell bonus starts with 7 free spins. One of the symbols is designated as sticky wild. Here you need lower value symbol as there are more of those one the reels. So, if any of the wilds lands on reels 2-5, they stick in the position for the rest of the bonus. Obviously, you are hoping to fill up as many positions as possible in the middle reels, something like in this video. This is not unusual type of bonus, quite a few games use this concept. Both bonuses can be extended with additional free spins if three Scatters land again.

Verdict:

Danger High Voltage is inspired by the catchy song that mixes up many seemingly incompatible things. It is interesting and has potential to pay up to 15,756 times the bet in the bonus round. It has become very popular since being released back in 2017 and is not boring to play at all. However, I do think there have been better slots released since. For example, Lil’ Devil has further developed this concept and is a bit more interesting to play. But, this one is definitely worth trying if only for the sound effects.
